Don Estes has asked me to respond to a request by you for data concerning your diamond bore sizing machines we placed in service just over two years ago to finish size the crank pin and pin bores of our Connecting Rods. We have been very pleased with the way they have performed.

With the use of our machines we have reduced the need to copper plate oversized rods from a average of 5,000 rods per month to zero. The tools average 340,000 to 500,000 parts per tool. The machines are very simple in design and complexity, require a minimum maintenance and are dependable.

The statitics for the crank and pin diameters average 2 to as high as 5 C.P.K. for the diameters and 5 to 11 C.P.K. for taper and roundness. I hope this information will be adequate for your needs. Should you need more information feel free to call me or Don Estes.
